Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, & Families and Parenting Consultations

About Me

I'm a big believer in therapy. With the right therapist and a good, healthy connection and fit, healing and growth can and does happen. I've seen it in my work and in my personal life over many years. I have the most experience and training in psychodynamic treatment, however I use some solution-focused and cognitive behavioral techniques, and mindfulness based work in my practice. We will work together to discover and enlist your strengths and explore the parts of you that need some attention and care.

I spent two years at the renowned Maple Center in Beverly Hills, a training institute with a psychodynamic orientation. While there I interned in both the adult and mindful parenting/child therapy programs, while also co-leading a teen mindful parenting group. Additional training was done with the Reflective Parenting Program, and at Dan Siegel's Mindsight Institute, and the first level Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training, an approach to working with trauma held in the body. My practice has included clients struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, life transitions, sexual abuse, coming out, relationship and job difficulties, grief, and trauma.

In addition to my private practice in Santa Monica, Ca, my specialty in parenting has led me to run groups at the Pump Station, at Cassidy Preschool as the previous Director of the Infant & Toddler Program, and with Babygroup, Inc in Santa Monica. Personally, I have 4 children of my own and deeply understand the struggles of parenting. I have had former careers in the performing arts and in depth yoga teacher training through YogaWorks.

I've had a lifelong, passionate curiosity about people and truly love my work.
